About
Project Juno is established to act as a prevention for relationship and marital problems from getting worse.
As every relationship is different, the general advice and ways we recommend for couples may not apply to everyone.
Our sole focus is to help married couples in Singapore who are looking to improve the quality of their relationship or are even facing early signs of relational problems.
The objective of Project Juno is to break down, discuss and disseminate information based on the aforementioned topics accurately and efficiently through a series of campaigns that will be employed through Social Media, our Website and Posters. Using social media and our website, we will attempt to create a platform which engages our audience through games, trivia, quizzes, tips and personal stories that will better equip them to build a healthy and everlasting relationship.
Objective
The name "Project Juno" draws inspiration from the Roman Goddess of Love, Juno, since our project focuses on the topic of “Love” and what makes it everlasting.
We started this project because we were inspired by this specific chapter called “The Biology of Compassion" from “Social Intelligence, The New Science of Human Relationships” by Daniel Goleman. This chapter focused on topics like caregiving, communication between couples, attachment styles, social allergies, toxic loops, and health of partners in relation to the strength of a relationship.

We want to explore the biology of love and compassion by providing methods for couples to strengthen their relationships through fun activities such as a 30 Day Couples Yoga Challenge, Personality Tests for each partner to understand their attachment style, Love Language Tests to understand how each other expresses love to one another, Word Searches and Crosswords, and social media activities such as “Our Bucket List” and “Bingo” to spice up people’s dating lives. The Personality and Love Language Tests, the 30 Day Couples Yoga Challenge, Word Searches, and Crosswords will be found on our website. The details and instructions for each activity will be written on this website to help the couples fully understand how to effectively complete these activities together.

Project Juno Code of Ethics
We will strive our best to be honest and transparent about the activities and content we provide for the couples. We are dedicated to providing credible and useful research to support the main message of our project.
We are not sending the message that we don’t support divorces, rather we want to help those who want to fix and mend their relationships.
Also, we want to disclose that we aren’t experts in knowing how to professionally fix a relationship but rather Project Juno is here to provide tips and advice that could help strengthen your relationships.

DATING TIPS
Dating Tip #1: Never Go To Bed Angry
Studies done by nature communications prove that negative emotional memories are harder to reverse after a night’s sleep because during sleep the brain reorganizes the way negative memories are being stored which makes these associations harder to suppress in the future. This will lead to couples holding grudges because of the inability to suppress the bad memories which can result in a problem of snowballing arguments.
Dating Tip #2: Have Realistic Expectations About Your Relationship
According to Mark Manson, an American self-help author and blogger who has written bestselling books like “The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck” and “Everything Is F*cked: A Book About Hope” has suggested that couples should have realistic expectations about their relationships and the romance that comes with it. In his article, he talks about how “you will love your partner only as long as they help you feel better about yourself.” This is a realistic expectation to have because you give back to your partner only as long as they give to you. The thought process is commonly seen in our other relationships of making others “happy only as long as they make you happy.” This can be a selfish thought but why would you want to give time and energy to someone who won’t do the same for you? Dating Tip #3: Be Candid About Your Feelings With Your Partner
Psychotherapist Beth Sonnenberg said, “Once you think that your feelings don’t matter, you won’t be heard, or you are not worth sharing, you open the door to harbor negativity and resentment.” She also says “People need to feel appreciated in any relationship.” Once you are candid with your positive and negative feelings with your partner your relationship will foster honest and open communication.
Dating Tip #4: Don’t Always Expect Your Partner To Be Your BFF
David Klow, a licensed family therapist, owner of Skylight Counseling Center in Chicago, and author of You Are Not Crazy: Letters from Your Therapist says, “We expect so much from our relationships these days. We want our partner to be a best friend, confidant, co-parent, and companion. Yet, this sets us up to be disappointed when our partner cannot fulfill our needs." You should expect your partner to meet some of your needs like being a companion and/or co-parent, but having a best friend relationship can be complicated. This is because relying on your partner to play so many roles in your life can be very tiring for them and it can result in your expectations being let down very often.

PERSONAL ANECDOTES FROM COUPLES
Jay and Yvette
They met during orientation in Junior College. They chanced upon each other through intermingling with each other's groups. Since then, they have been together for 4 years. Due to the stable relationship they have, they have had the conversation about marriage and the future. When they get into an argument, Jay would always initiate the talk as he believes that one should never go to bed angry while Yvette would effectively communicate her unhappiness, bringing the conflict to rest. Both parties rely on each other heavily for emotional support and would take turns to be the listening ear whenever the other is having a bad day.

Lydia and Brijesh
They both met on a movie set, he was working as an actor while she was working on the production team. Since then, they have been together for about 3 months. As it's quite a new relationship they are taking it step by step since they feel like they are too young to think long-term yet. They haven’t had a time where they were angry with each other but they would deal with it in different ways; Brijesh would distract himself while Lydia would take time to gather her thoughts then talk to him. Whenever they feel anxious and need to calm down they would look to each other for comfort.

Trixie and Niel
They both met each other while working at Toyota in the Philippines and since then have been together for 26 years. In their relationship, they value patience, sacrifice, and even religion to play important roles to make their relationship last so long. Patience and attentively listening to each other have allowed them to deal with anger in the relationship. Even though when they had initially gotten together they didn't make any long-term plans since their marriage and having a family happened so fast. When they feel stressed or anxious and need someone to calm them down they look to each other and to their kids to comfort them.

Deon and lisa

They met during their time studying in Temasek Polytechnic back in 2011. They recently got married last year. They both work in the design and entertainment industry and find themselves facing uncertainty with their careers. However, to them, being in each other's presence is enough to cheer them up. Despite having a hectic work schedule, Deon and Lisa both put in effort to spend time together, with their loved ones and their two cats, Leo and Taki.
